Kalshi: Fun Betting on Sports, TV and More!

The last couple of months I've been playing around with a new app on my phone called Kalshi. What is Kalshi? Kalshi is the first regulated, legal-in-the-US prediction market platform that operates like a stock exchange for real-world events. Users buy "Yes/No" contracts priced between 1¢ and 99¢ to bet on outcomes in sports, politics, economics, and weather, with contracts settling at $1 for correct predictions. An easier way to look at it? It's an app where you can pretty much bet on anything and it's totally legal is the U.S. So for instance you want to bet on who you think will win the TV gameshow Survivor. You can bet $1.00 on one of the contestants. Depending on the other people betting on them, it will tell you your payout if you win. So I put $2.00 on a contestant I think will win. Twinkie Wiener Sandwich: Would You Eat?

The "Twinkie Wiener Sandwich" is a fictional, humorous food item from the 1989 cult classic comedy movie UHF, starring "Weird Al" Yankovic. The snack consists of a hot dog (wiener) placed inside a split Twinkie, topped with canned spray cheese. The character George Newman (Weird Al) creates it to cheer up his friend Bob. Two things here. Never heard of UHF? It was a classic movie in the late 80's. It had Weird Al and also Michael Richards, who plays Kramer on Seinfeld. Survivor Australia vs The World: How Can You Watch In The U.S.?

Australian Survivor: Australia v The World (Season 13) premiered on August 17, 2025, on Network 10, featuring a high-stakes, 16-day, 14-contestant showdown in Samoa. It pitted iconic Australian players against international legends from the US, South Africa, Finland, and New Zealand. But, unfortunately if you live in the U.S. there has been no where to watch the show. But you do have a couple options to get your Survivor fix in. Coin Snatching Off The Elbow: How Many Can You Do?

The "coin snatching from elbow to hand" is a popular physical challenge or trick that relies on Newton's first law of motion (inertia). The goal is to balance a stack of coins on your elbow and quickly catch them in the same hand before they hit the ground. The record for most coins caught doing this is 328 . But some coins did fall during that. So, it's the most coins you can get in your hand at the end. There's two reasons I'm not a vegetarian... and one of them is BACON. There's nothing better than a perfect piece of bacon. Not only is it good on it's on, but it enhances any other food you put with it. From bacon wrapped asparagus, to salads everything tastes better with bacon. Before I start salivating too much thinking about it, let me tell you the perfect way to cook bacon. You may be thinking well, you just throw it in the frying pan, don't you? NO. Who wants a greasy soft piece of bacon? NOT ME. The next time you decide to eat some bacon, give this a shot and you will never turn back. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a cooking sheet with parchment paper. Lay out your bacon in strips so that they are close, but not touching. Throw your bacon in the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes. Check your bacon at the 25 minute mark to see if it's at your desired crispiness. The thickness of the bacon will determine exactly how long it needs to cook. When finished...
