I’m gonna go on record right now and say that the Original Flour Taco at Tasty Tacos is the best taco I have ever had. Bam! Said it. Sure, I love lots of Mexican food, but there is something about Tasty Tacos that have me coming back for more! The flour shell is just pure magic. Then you add in the beef and beans, lettuce and cheese, and I am hungry just thinking about it. Granted, you aren’t going to lose any weight eating them, but if you are looking for a delicious taco, you got to get one. They have many other things on their menu, but stick with the Original Flour Taco!
If you don’t believe me and have never tried one, do it! The restaurant has been around since 1961. So if something can last that long, you know it's gonna be good. There are 6 locations throughout Central Iowa. Although I live closer to the West Des Moines location, my personal favorite is the South location on S.E. 14th St in Des Moines. They seem to fill the tacos the fullest! Find out all you need to know on their website.
