After The Sunset: Never Seen? Watch Now

After the Sunset came out way back in 2004. It stars Pierce Bronson, Salma Hayek, Woody Harrelson and Don Cheadle. Yes, that is 22 years ago and you may have seen and forgot about it or just never seen it. But it's time to change that, because it's a good movie. So what's it about? Master jewel thieves Max Burdett (Pierce Brosnan) and Lola Cirillo (Salma Hayek) pull off a final high-stakes heist, humiliating FBI Agent Stan Lloyd (Woody Harrelson) by stealing a priceless diamond right from under his nose. Is There Any Kind Of Peanut Butter Sandwich That Is Not Good? Let's Try It With Apples

So after eating way too much meat as of late, I wanted to eat something that had no meat on it. So I decided to try another Peanut Butter sandwich. In the past I have tried The Elvis Version and the Fluffernutter Sandwich . But today, I decided to try apples with my Peanut Butter. It was oh so easy to make the sandwich. Just spread some peanut butter on a couple of bread slices, slice up an apple and throw it together. Now online, I had seen it made cold or heated up in a pan. But since it currently feels like 7 degrees outside, I decided to go for the warm version. Irish Spring: Does The Name Make The Product Better?

I wonder if I buy Irish Spring soap just because it has Irish in the name? Is there a subliminal piece of me where that makes it sound better because I have Irish heritage? Perhaps that's true. It makes me wonder if the exact same product, had a different name, would I still use it? So if the product had the name Russian Spring, or Iranian Spring or some other country, would I buy it. Am I buying it for the smell and things in the soap, or the name? Maybe this is true of many things in life? I love Sun Chips and eat them quite often. But would I have tried them or eaten them if they were named Moon Chips? Is name really that important in the products I buy? I mean research indicates that up to 77% of consumers make purchasing decisions based on the brand name alone. A familiar, memorable, or "fluent" name (easy to pronounce/recall) creates trust and perceived value, often leading to preference over cheaper generic alternatives...

War Machine: It Will Provide Entertainment, But Don't Think Too Much

So I got a chance to watch War Machine last night on Netflix. Now, let me start by saying I'm a big fan of Alan Ritchson because of the show Reacher . So to see him in this type of film my first thought was, I'm gonna like it. So what's this one about? The story follows a combat engineer known only by his recruit number, 81 (Ritchson), who is undergoing grueling training to join the elite U.S. Army Rangers to honor his deceased brother. During their final field exercise in a remote wilderness, the training mission turns into a fight for survival when a massive, deadly alien robot crashes into the area. The thing about this story is, it's almost a remake of the Predator movies from the 80's. Except this time the alien is a robot. There is a lot of good action, some gruesomeness, and you don't have to pay much attention to the dialogue in it. But if you like military action, which Ritchson can do, then you are in for a treat. The Office is one of my all-time favorite shows that was on TV from 2005-2013. One of my favorite scenes is one where Jim Halpert, imitates Dwight Schrute, by dressing up like him and talking like he would talk. Saying "Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica." It's classic. But the more I think about this little phrase, maybe it meant a little more. Let's take a closer look at it. Move Over St. Patrick - St. Brogan's Day is September 17th

Move over St. Patrick, because St. Brogan is coming to town. For years Irish Americans along with many others have celebrated St. Patrick's Day in America in March. My question for you is.... Why just St. Patrick? There are many Irish saints who deserve a day of recognition, especially St. Brogan. Besides, it's an excuse to have a Guinness and have some fun! Anyways, St. Brogan's feast day is 6 months after St. Patrick's day on September 17th . So get a pint, call some friends and join in the festivities. Irish Road Bowling: What The Heck Is This Sport?

Now, I'm an Irish American. I like to consider myself a smart guy and like to think I know quite a bit. I mean I am 47 years old and have seen a lot in my time. But honestly, I had never heard of Irish Road Bowling until today. So what the heck is it? Irish Road Bowling (or bóthar) is a traditional Irish sport where competitors throw a 28-ounce steel ball, or "bullet," along country roads, aiming to cover a set course (often a mile or more) in the fewest throws. Primarily played in Counties Cork and Armagh, the game involves underhand throws, with teams navigating curves and hills to win. Is this sport even played in the U.S.?
