War Machine: It Will Provide Entertainment, But Don't Think Too Much

So I got a chance to watch War Machine last night on Netflix.  Now, let me start by saying I'm a big fan of Alan Ritchson because of the show Reacher.  So to see him in this type of film my first thought was, I'm gonna like it. So what's this one about?

The story follows a combat engineer known only by his recruit number, 81 (Ritchson), who is undergoing grueling training to join the elite U.S. Army Rangers to honor his deceased brother. During their final field exercise in a remote wilderness, the training mission turns into a fight for survival when a massive, deadly alien robot crashes into the area.

The thing about this story is, it's almost a remake of the Predator movies from the 80's.  Except this time the alien is a robot.  There is a lot of good action, some gruesomeness, and you don't have to pay much attention to the dialogue in it.  But if you like military action, which Ritchson can do, then you are in for a treat.  I mean if I had to choose someone to battle an alien robot, I would choose Ritchson over most others.

If you are looking for some good action and not worrying about having to pay attention to every second for details, than this is the movie for you.  Overall, I would recommend.  Check it out on Netflix today.

Out of 10 Popcorn Kernels, I give it a 6.5.
