Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica: Does It Have A Secret Meaning?

The Office is one of my all-time favorite shows that was on TV from 2005-2013.  One of my favorite scenes is one where Jim Halpert, imitates Dwight Schrute, by dressing up like him and talking like he would talk.  Saying "Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica."  It's classic.  But the more I think about this little phrase, maybe it meant a little more. Let's take a closer look at it.

Bears:  Dwight's obsession with bears is a recurring element that stems from his background as a farmer, his intense focus on survivalism, and his rigid, analytical nature.

Beets: Dwight's obsession with beets stems from his role as a beet farmer at Schrute Farms, viewing them as a superior, nutritious food and a lucrative business, despite his coworkers' disinterest. He frequently promotes them, boasts about his farm's success, and even attempts to grow them in the office, reflecting his intense dedication to agriculture.

Battlestar Galactica:  Dwight's obsession with Battlestar Galactica highlights his intense, nerd-culture persona, particularly in his rivalry with Jim Halpert.  Dwight is a devoted fan of the sci-fi franchise and its lore.

Is Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galatica just a nod to this song? (B.B.B.G)

The Song by Nolly, entitled B.B.B.G, could be what Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica is actually about?  Maybe The Office writers were just huge fans of this song and wanted to pay homage to it?  FALSE.  That song came out 5 years ago, and The Office ended in 2013.

So was there a secret meaning to Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica?  No, it has no hidden, deep metaphorical meaning, but rather serves as a specific, planned comedic prank.  It's still genius though!
