I am afraid of clowns. No, I am not joking. I can't stand to be around them or even look at them (it is so hard to even post a picture in the blog). The kid friendly character is a nightmare to me. We all have that moment. You hear on the news or from one of your co-workers that the lottery is up to 1 billion dollars. For only $2 you could play and win all that money! But, the odds of winning the major lottery jackpots are exceptionally slim. Chick-fil-A Bites At Home - The Best Thing Ever!

I came home to a wonderful surprise Monday after work! My wife had just fried up some of the best tasting Chicken I have ever had! She found the recipe at the Iowa Girl Eats Website . The secret this wonderful dinner is letting the chicken soak in a marinade that includes pickle juice. This is essential because one of the great part of the Chick-fil-A sandwiches is the taste of pickle. So each little chicken bite tastes like sandwich with a pickle! Brilliant! Here's the Recipe, we omitted the dipping sauce used in the original recipes because they are so good that they don't even need any dip! Ingredients: 2 large chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces and seasoned with salt & pepper 3/4 cup milk 1/4 cup pickle juice 1 egg 1 1/4 cups flour 2 Tablespoons powdered sugar 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup peanut oil, divided (or canola or vegetable oil) Directions: 1. The Most Impersonal Gift Ever - The Gift Card

Holiday shopping is upon us once again this year. For some of us this can be a good thing, while for others it is just pure hell. I really think the person you are buying for makes the experience good or bad. I have some people who will give me a list of gift ideas as tall as me (6'1 if your counting). Then there are some others who won't even give me one inkling of an idea of what to buy them. These are the people who end up getting the gift card. Now, I have always said that the gift card is the most impersonal gift. It doesn't really take any thought or effort on the buyer's part. Especially since you can just order the gift card online and not even leave the house. This means you don't even have to drive to the store to get the card. The Drive-Thru

Just a quick thought today........ Does anyone else do this? When you are going thru a drive-thru and you receive your food, the drive-thru employee says "Enjoy your food". Then out of habit I say "You too!" But they aren't going to eat the food. It just goes to show I don't think before I talk.

Belly Button Theory - Is It All About Me?

Does the world revolve around my belly button? Sometimes I feel that way, but generally I don't subscribe to this theory. What is the belly button theory? It states that you are the center of the universe and everything around you (and your belly button) is affected by your daily actions. The last two times I needed to get gas, I was driving home from work and each time I decided to wait until the next morning to fill up because I was too tired. The next morning on both occasions, gas went up over 15 cents a gallon. So the universe was punishing me for being lazy..... Gas prices went up because of little old me? The One Dollar Pregnancy Test

As I have mentioned many times, I am a cheapskate. So it makes sense that I like the Dollar Store. So I was strolling through my local Dollar Store (the one where everything is actually a dollar) getting in line for the checkout when I noticed a pregnancy test for a $1.00. What!? It was just sitting there as an impulse buy item with candy and gum. A few things came to my head when I saw this. First, who just thinks at the last minute they need a pregnancy test and just picks one up as an impulse buy? Second, can you really trust the results from a pregnancy test that costs a $1.00? I mean, come on. Having a child is a pretty big event in your life. Shouldn't you at least shell out $10.00 or more for a name brand one? What's next?....... a one dollar rock climbing rope?
