Do you ever feel like you never get any relaxation? Ever feel like you are constantly doing something and never have a minute to yourself? You're not alone. I would say most adults would say this is true of them. So how do you find peace, time to relax and that calmness that we all need in this world?
Here are 4 things I think we all need:
1. Engage in activities that you enjoy - Have a hobby or enjoy doing something that gives you joy? For instance I love to hike, watch sports and of course write. You need to have at least one activity that gives you some time each day to make yourself happy.
2. Limit Distractions - Turn of notifications on your phone, take time away from constant stimulation such as laptop, TVs or games.
3. Express Your Feelings - Either talk to a friend, a therapist if you want someone just to listen or write down the way you are feeling. It's good to get the feelings out!
4. Practice Gratitude - Focusing on what you're thankful for can shift your mindset to a more positive one. Be thankful for everything you do have in life.
These 4 things will all help. Here's another idea. How about a vacation all by yourself? Could you do it? I think if you can spend time on your own, it means you like yourself. What do you think? Like yourself enough to be stuck alone for a few days??
