The Wedding Ringer is a comedy about a socially awkward groom, Doug (Josh Gad), who hires a professional best man, Jimmy (Kevin Hart), to be his best man and provide groomsmen for his wedding because he has no real friends. The central plot revolves around the escalating charade as they try to pull off the elaborate deception, leading to a strong friendship between the two men.
A few other things stuck out in the movie which made me more interested in watching as I went. It also has appearance by Jorge Garcia, who was on one of my old favorite shows Lost, and Alan Ritchson, from Reacher. Now, while the movie isn't brilliant by any means, it's silly, funny and a good buddy comedy. So if you are looking for a good watch, where you don't have to think too much, this is a good choice.
Out of 10 Popcorn Kernels, I give it a 6.5.
