Holiday shopping is upon us once again this year. For some of us this can be a good thing, while for others it is just pure hell. I really think the person you are buying for makes the experience good or bad. I have some people who will give me a list of gift ideas as tall as me (6'1 if your counting). Then there are some others who won't even give me one inkling of an idea of what to buy them. These are the people who end up getting the gift card.
Now, I have always said that the gift card is the most impersonal gift. It doesn't really take any thought or effort on the buyer's part. Especially since you can just order the gift card online and not even leave the house. This means you don't even have to drive to the store to get the card. Better yet... you can have the gift card delivered directly to the person. You don't even have to see them! Isn't that great! Thanks to the modern convenience of the Internet you don't even have to deal with the family on Christmas anymore. You can send your gift card to them, send out an email instead of a card and spend your time on Christmas day on your couch. Seriously, what has Christmas come to?
