Just a couple of days ago The Wrecking Crew came out on Prime Video. The movie stars Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista and Franke Adams, who is from one of my favorite shows The Expanse. The movie is an action-comedy film about Momoa and Bautista as estranged half-brothers who reunite to uncover a conspiracy surrounding their father's mysterious death in Hawaii.
So before I talk about the movie I have to say I knew Jason Momoa back in high school. It's always funny to see him in a movie and then think about those olden days. He lived behind me in Norwalk, Iowa and when I first started going to school there we would walk the same route to school. He was always nice to me and seemed like a nice guy. It was funny because back then he was just a skinny kid, the same height as me. Now he is 6' 4" and is full of muscle. And I don't share those same muscle qualities. LOL.
Anyways, let's get back to the movie. While the movie isn't the best written in the world or will make you think that much, it does give you action. Momoa and Bautista both provide good fighting and action scenes throughout the movie. I will say, the actor they have playing the bad guy, I did not think fit the persona very well. There is a fight scene at the end of the movie and I don't see him having a chance against someone of Momoa's stature. But, if you can get pass those little things that aren't the best, this is a good movie to pop some popcorn, sit back and watch for fun.
Out of 10 Popcorn Kernels, I give it a 6.
