Who is the biggest thief in Iowa State Men's basketball history? Meaning who is the career steals leader? Well, Iowa State has had some good pick pockets over the years. Who could it be? Looking at some of the possible names: Monte Morris, Fred Hoiberg, Justice Thigpen, Tamin Lipsey, Jamaal Tinsley, Jeff Hornacek or Curtis Stinson?
Well, the current all-time leader, and the person still adding to that total is Tamin Lipsey. As of today he has 268 career steals. He broke the record in February of 2025, topping Monte Morris, who had the previous record of 225 steals. Third place on the all-time list is Jeff Hornacek with 211. It will be interesting to see what Lipsey ends up with this year. With today's basketball and the likelihood of anyone playing 4 years at a school, I think Lipsey will be the Iowa State Men's steal leader for a long time!
