The last couple of months I've been playing around with a new app on my phone called Kalshi. What is Kalshi? Kalshi is the first regulated, legal-in-the-US prediction market platform that operates like a stock exchange for real-world events. Users buy "Yes/No" contracts priced between 1¢ and 99¢ to bet on outcomes in sports, politics, economics, and weather, with contracts settling at $1 for correct predictions.
An easier way to look at it? It's an app where you can pretty much bet on anything and it's totally legal is the U.S. So for instance you want to bet on who you think will win the TV gameshow Survivor. You can bet $1.00 on one of the contestants. Depending on the other people betting on them, it will tell you your payout if you win. So I put $2.00 on a contestant I think will win. If they win, I get $117.00. Of course not all the rewards are that high, but you get the idea. You can bet on sports, politics and and bunch of other things you probably would of never think to bet on. Once again, this is just for fun.
Remember, if you are just betting a couple bucks on something to make it more fun and interesting it's no big deal. But if you start betting to try and earn a living or big money, it's probably a problem. So try it out, have fun and see if you know who will win the MVP of the Super Bowl.
Sign up for Kalshi with my link and we’ll both get $25. Click here.
