So just last week I was at my Mom's house and she had just baked a loaf of bread that made her house smell very good. I went over and checked it out and it looked tasty as well. So my first question to her of course was, what is this? She explained it was a new bread my sister and her had been making for awhile and they loved it. Now, my first thought was really? The reason I say this is both my mom and my sister have Celiac' s Disease and can't have gluten. So typically, to be brutally honest, bread products aren't that tasty. But this bread she just had made had to be tried.
My mom explained that it was a new brand that she had been eating as of late called GoNanas and she gave me a guarantee that I would like it. I was skeptical, but I had to try it. The flavor of the one she had just made was Cinnamon Roll, but she explained she had pretty much tried all the flavors and liked them all. So she cut me a piece off and it was still warm, which made it so much better. But the taste was so good. It almost melted in my mouth and I couldn't tell at all that it was gluten free. I was pleasantly surprised as I scarfed down my piece.
So yesterday was Valentine's Day, and what did my sister give me for a present? A bag of the limited edition Red Velvet. I woke up this morning and decided to bake it up. And just for reference, just last week my mom gave me another bag I made at home, and it was gone by the end of the day. So tasty! So as I type this I am waiting for my Red Velvet bread and I'm excited about gluten free bread. Amazing. Never thought I would say that. One thing to note, is each loaf you make, does have bananas in it. So if you are allergic to bananas this isn't a choice for you. But if not, seriously, give this a try now! And yes, Mom, you were right about something. So good!
