Very Local: Free TV To Watch Featuring Kinga Philipps and Boston Rob

There are many things I enjoy in this world, and free things are one of them!  And in today's world, it's not very often you get free TV to watch.  With my Netflix, Paramount Plus, Peacock, Prime and others subscriptions, I pay just as much as if I had cable. But, then what do I discover on my TV, a free app.  It's the Very Local app.  What is it you ask?

Very Local is a free streaming app designed to connect users with local news, weather, and exclusive original series centered on specific U.S. cities. Owned by Hearst Television, it offers 24/7 access to live, trusted local news and on-demand content, available on smartphones, tablets, and streaming devices like Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV.

So the app has my local news, but most importantly it has 2 shows that I really found that I liked.  The first one is Boston Rob Does Beantown. Now, if you don't know, Boston Rob has been a contestant on my favorite show Survivor, five different times.  I have always enjoyed him on that show, so I found it interesting to see him showing off his hometown turf.  The show explores Boston's neighborhoods, hidden gems, and local spots, expanding to New England in Season 2 (...& Beyond). Rob visits, eats, and participates in local activities like pickleball, pasta making, and axe throwing.

Then the second show I enjoy on Very Local is Finding Adventure with Kinga Phillips. In the show Kinga Philipps travels across the country to help individuals break out of their comfort zones and explore the outdoors and experience how stepping outside of the norm can be scary, but ultimately amazing.  It's fun to see her get people out of the house trying new things.  To be honest, I wish she would come visit me and get me out trying something new!  Hey Kinga, head to Des Moines!

Very Local has many other shows on it as well, and as I mentioned, it's FREE!  So hop on your TV the next time you are looking for a new show to watch and download the app for free.  If you don't like it, no money was spent!  That doesn't happen too much these days!
