Teenage Mutant Ninja Sloths? Yes, Please

The other night I was helping my son with a speech he was creating for school.  The subject he chose was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Now, the Turtles first came out in the late 1980's, and I did watch the show/movies back then.  So, I had a little bit of knowledge on them, but I hadn't really thought about them in many years.  As I was going back and doing research on him, it brought back lots of memories on the Turtles.  In fact, I remember playing video games featuring them in the arcade a lot, as well thru the years.  But, then it came to me.  What if they never chose turtles as the animal the mutant ooze gets on?

What if a group of my favorite animals, sloths, were hanging out when this ooze spilled.  What if it got all over them, and they were turned into the characters the turtles were turned into?  That would be just pure TV enjoyment!  I think we need the whole story to be remade.  I mean the idea of slow ninjas, that took forever to send a punch or leg kick to their opponent.... that's just funny!

Can someone make this happen for us all?  It would make the world a better place!  And since sloths are my favorite animals, let's take a minute to learn some things about them.

Here are key facts about sloths:

Slow Metabolism & Digestion: Sloths have the lowest metabolism of any mammal, taking up to a month to digest a single leaf. Their stomach, which takes up 30-37% of their body mass, is often full.

Extremely Slow Movement: They move at a maximum speed of roughly 1 foot per minute on land.

Unique Anatomy: Three-toed sloths can turn their heads due to extra neck vertebrae. They also have 30% less muscle mass than similar-sized mammals but are three times stronger than humans, able to lift their full body weight with one arm.

Bathroom Habits: Sloths only descend from the canopy to poop about once a week, losing up to 30% of their body weight in a single sitting.

Two Types: There are two main types—two-toed and three-toed sloths.

Ancient Relatives: Modern sloths are tiny compared to their ancestors, the extinct Giant Ground Sloth, which was over 19 feet tall.

Hanging Lifetime: They spend almost their entire lives hanging upside down, even sleeping, eating, and giving birth in this position.
