We’ve all been there: staring at the Netflix home screen, endlessly scrolling through thumbnails, and desperately looking for something actually worth watching. Just when I was about to give up and put on a rerun, I stumbled across Hit Man, which originally came out in 2024. I was instantly intrigued because the two leads have been completely crushing it lately. I enjoyed Glen Powell’s high energy performance in Twister, and Adria Arjona was unforgettable as Bix Caleen in Andor. Seeing them pair up for a romantic action comedy sounded like the perfect watch, and it absolutely did not disappoint.

The Verdict
Hit Man succeeds because it relies on pure, unadulterated star power and clever writing rather than cheap CGI. Powell and Arjona share an explosive on-screen chemistry that elevates the entire narrative, making it one of the most thoroughly entertaining watches on Netflix in recent memory.
