The Lights On The Hyundai Santa Fe: To Me They Are Dog Bones

The headlights and tail lights on the 2024 and 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe are not your typical shape. At first glance what do you see? That's what I want to know. The first thing I thought of when I first pulled up behind a Santa Fe was that it looked like a bone. Yes, it reminded me of a dog bone.

But, why would a vehicle have the shape of a bone? Was it some kind of reference to a dog? Then I thought to myself, maybe it's a Tie Fighter. So maybe a cool Star Wars style vehicle?

Once I got back home I was going to Google it to find out more and it hit me.  The vehicle was a Hyundai.  So maybe it was an "H" for Hyundai? But why would a car have it's initial as it's light?  Here's what I found:

The 2024 and 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe features distinctive H-shaped projector LED headlights standard on all trims, providing bright illumination for both low and high beams, though some drivers find the brightness adequate but not exceptional, occasionally causing oncoming cars to flash them, suggesting potential leveling issues. The headlights use dual projectors for low/high beams and offer features like High Beam Assist, with some owners reporting condensation issues or brightness concerns that prompt bulb upgrades.

Although it looked different this whole "H" theory light sounds dumb. Now, if it would of been based on a Star Wars Tie Fighter or a Dog Bone, I could of been behind it. But an "H"?  You don't see Kia's with a "K" or Chevy's with a "C". I don't think this will last very long.
