Between the ages of 3 and 5, I spent most of my free time riding around on my big wheel. It was the coolest thing in the world at the time. My friends and I were a gang of kids on big wheels, driving around the neighborhood. We didn't spent endless time playing video games on phones or watching TV, we were outside riding. As an Iowan we have a great tradition as well, where we have big wheel races at the Iowa State Fair (see video below). This has been going on over 40 years. That was always the coolest thing, heading to the Fair and winning the big wheel race. Because I never lost. I was the man when I was a youngster on a big wheel.
So, when I was doing a search on my computer and I saw an ad pop up for an adult big wheel, I got excited. What!? They have big wheels for adults? They even have races in certain parts of the country. I absolutely need to get one of these. My career isn't over. I can start my big wheel racing career in my 40's!
So I did some research and I found an adult big wheel for sale, but the price was $900! Well, it's time to start saving and hopefully this summer you will see me rolling down the street in a big wheel!
