I just don't understand it. I put my silverware in the dishwasher and turn it on. Once it is finished I open it up and I have shiny, sparkling silverware. I carry my silverware over to the designated drawer and place them in their slot. So, to my knowledge, the silverware is clean. But somehow, the next time I open up the drawer full of clean silverware there are crumbs in the silverware tray......... Why?
How can it be? Are there crumb gnomes that come and sprinkle the crumbs in there when I am gone? I honestly think that's what is happening. Little gnomes, in their red hats are playing around in the drawer at night, just sprinkling crumbs everywhere laughing.
It's similar to the whole belly button lint thing. I take a shower each day, but yet lots of times I find lint hanging out in there. But apparently belly button lint, or "navel fluff," is a harmless mix of clothing fibers (often from cotton), dead skin, sweat, oil, and bacteria that collects in the navel, especially in "innie" types with abdominal hair that traps fibers, directing them inward.
So that makes more sense. But crumbs in the silverware drawer? This has to be one of life's great mysteries. Am I missing something here? It's got to be gnomes!
