When To Take Down Your Christmas Lights And Not Be Annoying

So it's January 6th.  While it's just a couple houses in my neighborhood, I am still seeing Christmas lights on at night. Christmas was 13 days ago.  At what point should people turn off those lights and leave them off?  I personally had my lights down the weekend after Christmas.  By that point I was sick of them to be quite honest. To me a month is plenty of time to view the lights.  Now, I understand if people don't want to take them down because of the cold. In my case the weekend after Christmas was nice weather, so it wasn't a big deal to go out and do it.  But they can at least unplug them or turn them off for good at some point. Right?

According to everything I found online, January 6 (Epiphany) marks the traditional end of the Christmas season in many Christian traditions, making it a popular time to remove decorations.  So today is the day. Tonight, I should not see Christmas lights anywhere!  We can move on to the next holiday, which is Valentine's Day.  Or we maybe we can skip and go straight to St. Patrick's Day!

One thing I will say that I love is the outdoor wall lights I bought last year on Amazon.  Through an app on my phone, I can turn the lights any color I want throughout the year, plus they have timers on them as well. I totally recommend getting these!  For Christmas I had red and green, for Valentine's day I could choose pink for the day, and it's true for every holiday.  I can change the color to anything I want. So if I was really lazy I could skip putting up Christmas lights all together and just use these as my decorations. But, that probably won't happen. Although I am getting older.

The most important thing from this rant is, TURN OFF YOUR CHRISTMAS LIGHTS NOW if you haven't yet. Today is the last day they should be on!
